This is a very nice cased example of a War Merit Cross KvK 1st Class in Silver with swords, manufactured by Otto Schickle of Pforzheim in South Western Germany. This early war example in Tombak shows frosted finish on silver maltese cross. There are sharp details to contours and pebbles to internal cross arms, though there is some flaking and finish loss on the front. Pin back and maker stamped as issued with LDO
