Flowers in Urn Reverse Glass Tinsel Painting mid-century danish ceramic which would be held tightI recently spent a bunch of time going through the online collection of the American Folk Art Museum, which happens to have the largest collection of tinsel paintings anywhere, many of which were featured in a major 2013 exhibition there titled "Foiled." Looking at those examples got me thinking about, and paying more attention to, this particular form of reverse glass painting, in which crumpled pieces of metallic foil were applied behind unpainted
