This Burnside Cavalry serial # 24197 in . 54 caliber is offered in very good collectible condition. This example, known as the fifth model, has a patent date of 1856 and retains some of the original blue on the barrel, with a clean wood stock and comes complete with saddle ring. The top of the frame is marked: BURNSIDE PATENT. MARCH 25TH 1856 The marking on the lock plate is partially worn off, but originally would
