Blue "Sa Lan" Orchid Gaiwan glass The inside of this gongdaobeiArtist Fu Shan Xu combines multiple techniques in these brilliant new gaiwans. First, the blue glaze is applied with Sa Lan, "Splashed Blue", a very popular technique from the Qing Dynasty of splattering cobalt pigment to create flowing, dynamic pattern.
